At Klondike Kennels, we offer routine bathing and nail care to help keep your dog clean, comfortable, and looking their best. Whether your dog needs a bath during their boarding stay or regular coat maintenance, our trained staff take a patient, individualized approach with an emphasis on gentle handling and positive reinforcement. 

Our Bathing and Nail Care Services

Bath and Nail Trim

Our bathing service includes shampooing, conditioning, and a nail trim with pricing based on your dog's weight and coat type. 

Every paid bath includes a nail trim. If you prefer to decline the nail trim, please let us know when scheduling. The bathing price remains the same. 

Nail trims are also available as a standalone service. 

Desheds

For dogs who need additional coat maintenance, we also offer deshedding treatments for an additional charge to help remove loose fur and undercoat. 

Complimentary Baths for Boarding Guests

Dogs boarding with us for 11 days or longer qualify for a complimentary bath during their stay.

Complimentary baths do not include a nail trim.

Appointments & Scheduling

Drop-off bathing appointments can be requested Monday through Friday, with drop-off between 8:00 AM and 8:30 AM and pick-up between 11:30 AM and 12:00 PM. 

Bathing services may also be requested during boarding stays, subject to availably. 

Standalone nail trims can be scheduled during our regular operating hours, including weekends. 

Vaccine Requirements

To help protect the health of all pets in our care, the following vaccines are required:

• Bathing: Rabies and Bordetella

• Nail Trims: Rabies

Our Approach

Your pet’s comfort and safety are important to us. Our staff use positive reinforcement, gentle handling, and a patient approach to help make bathing and nail care as comfortable as possible.

We may offer treats, peanut butter, spray cheese and/or toys to create a positive association with handling.

Before your appointment, please inform our team if your dog has:

• Food allergies, dietary restrictions or sensitivities

• A history of guarding food, treats, or toys

• Fear, anxiety, or discomfort associated with bathing, nail trimming, or physical handling

• Other health concerns

We pay close attention to each dog's comfort throughout their appointment. If your dog becomes too uncomfortable, we will stop the service and contact you. 

Services We Do Not Offer

Klondike Kennels specializes in routine canine bathing and nail care. We are not a full-service grooming salon and do not provide the following services:

• Cat bathing or feline grooming

• Haircuts, shaving, or coat trimming

• Dematting or mat removal

• Ear cleaning

• Nail grinding or Dremel services

Medications and Muzzles

For dogs that require a muzzle or premedication(s) to safely complete bathing or nail trimming, we recommend consulting your veterinarian about alternative care options. These services are not provided by our kennel bathing team.
