Shift times:
Monday-Sunday: 7am-Noon, 3pm-6pm

 

Availability Requirements:

 

Klondike Kennels is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and dedicated Kennel Assistant Manager to join our expanding team. In this hands-on role, you’ll lead a passionate team of pet caregivers, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, while providing exceptional care for our furry guests along with delivering stellar customer service!  If you're a multitasking pro who thrives in a dynamic environment and can seamlessly handle responsibilities like delegating tasks, making reservations, answering phones and providing occasional belly rubs (to pets, not team members) we’d love to hear from you!

 

Job Requirements:

  • Willingness to work in both indoor and outdoor environments
  • Ability to handle various dog breeds and sizes comfortably
  • Physical stamina – this job can be physically demanding but emotionally rewarding
  • Genuine passion for providing excellent animal care to support positive well-being for our guests
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication abilities for client and team interactions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining positive client relationships
  • Training team members on safety and cleaning protocols, feeding routines, and animal handling procedures
  • Stepping into different roles as needed to ensure seamless operations
  • Administer medications, understand vaccination schedules, observe and provide general health checks on all pets under our care
  • Collaborating closely with higher management and team members to maintain exceptional customer service
  • Monitoring pets for overall health or behavior changes or any issues that may require attention

Must be flexible and available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, school breaks and holidays;  including before, day of, and the days after Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s and spring break.
